Newly Opened Organ Transplant Center of Yaşam Hospitals Group Successfully Performed Its First Liver Transplant

Following its opening, Yaşam Organ Transplant Center started transplants rapidly and successfully performed its first liver transplant and gave hope to other patients in need of transplantation. Opening an important center for Antalya, Yaşam Hospitals Group Organ Transplant Center President Prof. Dr. Bülent AYDINLI said: "As Yaşam Hospitals Group, we are happy to successfully perform our first liver transplant. This success gives hope to our patients waiting for organ transplantation and proves the competence of our center. We will continue to ensure that more people have access to this vital treatment through our social awareness raising efforts and campaigns encouraging organ donation. Defeated the Disease
Prof. Dr. Bülent Aydınlı continued as follows: "Our patient, who lives in the Eastern Anatolia Region and has alveolar echinococcus disease, which is common in the region, had serious damage to his liver due to this disease. Especially his main vein was affected by the disease and lost its function. After being evaluated by a committee chaired by me, it was decided to perform a liver transplant to improve the patient's quality of life and chances of survival.

As a result of the tests, our patient's son was found suitable as a liver donor. The intra-family living-to-living liver transplant operation was successfully performed by the expert team of our center. The donor was discharged on the 7th postoperative day in a healthy condition and our patient regained his health on the 13th day and returned home.
